Naomi Lewandoski
Naomi is the Band Conductor for both the Explorer and Concert Bands. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance and Conducting from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music – Griffith University. In 2015 she completed the KMEIA (Kodaly) Certificate for Primary Level 1 Music Education and received a High Distinction in Conducting.
Naomi has been teaching music since 1990 and conducting bands and choirs since 2009. She is also an experienced Vocal Teacher and Choral Conductor and teaches at schools in the local area. As an instrumentalist, Naomi has toured internationally as a member of the Australian Wind Ensemble and has played with many ensembles such as the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra & Willoughby Symphony Orchestra. Naomi currently plays 1st Chair Bassoon with the Cameraygal Wind Symphony. One of the highlights for Naomi each year is her role as co-organiser of the Berowra Music Fest which brings together 7 school bands from the Berowra area for a combined concert at the Hornsby RSL.
Naomi is an enthusiastic and passionate music educator who enjoys working with young children and fostering a love of music through band.
